nothing feels like a holiday anymore. where's my holiday spirit? time flies way too fast. too busy to think about anything else. as several others has told me, "it just means you're getting older...."
well, HAPPY NEW YEAR!
and i don't really have any resolutions cept to be a better person in general and just try to become smarter. and healthier too. more milk, better breakfusses, etc.. okay tons to do for a better me. yah, happy new year!
are they showing this during commerical in USA? it's been showing all the time on vietnamese television and i like it! the song's so catchy! anyway, still in vietnam and experiencing a lot... but i can't wait to get home!
I never thought I'd say this, but I'm beautiful Los Angeles, California and I WANT OUT!!!!!!!! On Thursday night we drove to the airport in the rain and checked in and got on board and everything. I saw lightning strike and soon after, we were all told that we'd have to wait a bit for the rain to clear out. Maybe every hour or so they'd say "we'll be leaving shortly" but this "shortly" turned out to be a full 3 hours wait. We were gonna arrive at LAX and wait for 3 hours before our next flight to Taipei, Taiwan. Well that 3 hour delayed caused us to miss our flight to Taiwan. Experiencing the 3 hour difference and being tired as heck every day... things have been so helpless since that day.
Today's the day we should've been in Vietnam by now. Instead, we've spent all our time at LAX and eating food we're getting tired of. We've spoken to Delta who can't do anything to help us because our ticket belongs to China Airlines. Then we have China Airlines who won't do anything to help us cuz they claim its not their fault and it's Delta who should be helping us.
Anyway, there's been a lot that's going on just to try to get us out. It's tough because Delta has no authority to do anything and China Airlines just won't. It's all cuz of the weather, and who's to blame? sighhhh
This is terrible. For every flight, we're just wishing to be able to fly standby. We wait and wait and wait in "false" hopes to later get a "NO CHANCE!" from the rude China Airlines people. Then we wait another several hours for the next flight just to get another "NO CHANCE!"... the amount of hope we have is dying and dying, one flight after the other. We even decided we'd travel separately if we had to, cuz it's pretty much impossible to fly 6 people.
BUT GUESS WHAT? Today, China Airlines called us and said they could confirm for two people tonight! We're gonna let my parents go tonight. Then the rest of us will do standby, and if that doesn't work, we're flying our for sure tomorrow. PLEASE let us get on tonight!! And I also heard its raining pretty badly in Atlanta. I'm just hoping flights to LAX from there will be delayed... better chance for us! Seriously, I just wanna get out of here.
It's a much longer story but I'm just gonna stop it now. Here are some pictures I took at 5:30am last night just because I had nothing better to do and it was the peak of my sadness haha.
Oh yeah, and I saw a monk eating a McDonald's sandwich.Wish I could've taken a picture of that. There's not vegetarian McDonald's sandwiches are there? He looked like he was enjoying it a lot too.
It's finally come, and going to Asia for the first time. I'm so excited. At first I was scared or not looking forward to all sorts of things such as the long plane ride, experiencing turbulence, to the hot hot weather, not drinking ice, only bottled waters, carrying along toilet paper... just in case... and all the necessary precautions I had to handle last minute. It didn't hit me til yesterday when I came home and the house was CLEAN! haha the fridge was cleaned out and our suitcases were packed and ready in the living room. I asked my mom, "are you excited?!" and she said something to me that just sounded really... heartwarming hehe. She said, "of course. I'm bout to see my sister for the first time in 30 years." And then I was like WOW. I can't imagine what that'd feel like. Man, I really can't wait. Shoot, I'm bout to meet my aunt and uncle I've never met.. and a 3 year old cousin I didn't know I had til recently!
